Fixed Odds Bet Type

Jockey Challenge

Enjoy a whole new way to bet with "Jockey Challenge", a breakthrough concept in Hong Kong horse racing using a Fixed Odds bet type. Pick your favourite jockey and choose your target odds. Once a bet is placed, the dividend is calculated according to the odds fixed at the time the bet is accepted and will not be affected by any subsequent change in odds.

How to Play

Jockeys participating in the nominated races in a race meeting will be numbered as 1 to 14. Nos.1 to 13 will be assigned to one jockey each, while No.14 will include the rest of the jockeys for the race meeting. Select correctly the jockey with the most Jockey Challenge Points at a race meeting and your winnings will be paid at the price taken. "Jockey Challenge Points" means the points assigned to the jockeys actually riding the 1st, 2nd and 3rd horses, respectively, on the Jockey's Scheduled Rides.*

*Means the rides that a jockey is engaged to ride in the nominated races at a race meeting at the start selling of Jockey Challenge. The Jockey Challenge Scheduled Rides List will be released at the start selling time of Jockey Challenge, please refer to the Scheduled Rides List for details.

In Play Betting Available

In Play betting is available for Jockey Challenge. For night meetings, selling will stop at the start of Race 6 in a meeting with 8 local races, and at the start of Race 7 in a meeting with 9 local races. For day meetings, selling will stop at the start of Race 8 in a meeting with 10 local races, and at the start of Race 9 in a meeting with 11 local races.

Selling will be temporarily suspended at the start of each race, and will resume after the Weighed in Signal is displayed. Odds# and the Jockey Challenge Points will be updated after each race.

#Odds will only be updated during the selling periods.

Jockey Challenge Points

Jockeys riding the first three placed horses^ on their Scheduled Rides will earn Jockey Challenge Points as follows (Dead-heat situations excepted):
1st place: 12 points
2nd place: 6 points
3rd place: 4 points

Jockey Challenge Points scored by Substitute Jockeys# will not count. At the end of a race meeting, the jockey with the highest accumulated Jockey Challenge Points will be declared as the winner. The Jockey Challenge Points for all jockeys (including jockeys in No.14) will be counted on an individual basis.

^No Jockey Challenge Points for the rest of the finishing positions.
